LVMH envisages selling the POMMERY champagne brand

LVMH is studying a potential sale of the Pommery brand to the Vranken Monopole champagne group, along with certain assets belonging to Pommery SA, including its site in Reims, its cellars, its champagne stocks and its supply contracts. LVMH would retain strategic hectares of the Pommery vineyard in the best ” crus ” of the Champagne area, which were acquired in conjunction with the Pommery brand by LVMH some years ago. This plan, to be submitted for consultation to representatives of Pommery’s personnel, is consistent with LVMH’s strategy to focus on its star brands and those with great potential. Pommery is an autonomous brand within the group’s champagne activities, with its own distribution network. LVMH, the world leader in luxury products, and notably champagne, with brands including Ruinart, Mercier, Canard-Duchêne, Moët & Chandon, Dom Pérignon, Veuve Clicquot and Krug, continues to gain market share in this strategic sector of luxury wines and spirits.
