As the Retail Excellence Assistant Manager for Australia, you will be part of the retail department, leading continuous improvement projects which drive high operational standards and performance. This experience will enable you to build well-rounded experience in a regional retail organisation.

YOUR IMPACT

Store operations

  • Manage day-to-day operation of the stores visiting stores regularly to understand business needs, solve any related issues, and identify operational gaps
  • Participate in driving a high standard of operational efficiency, clarity and synergy for both office & stores
  • Ensure the standard of housekeeping and merchandising are maintained at all times
  • Implement and monitor security measures across stores ensuring any investigations and subsequent reporting on abnormal events are accurate and lead to lasting improvements
  • Ensure company policies and procedures are followed by the store teams at all times
  • Plan and support retail management with retail meetings to inform and motivate the store team
  • Manage ad-hoc projects including friends and family sales, event-organising and store initiatives

Retail Sales Performance& Reporting

  • Act as business partner to the retail management team (gm’s and country-level retail managers) to drive high operational efficiency and standards and sales across the network
  • Provide an in-depth analysis of key performance indicators (KPIs) and initiate innovative programs across the region to drive specific business objectives and maximise sales opportunities
  • Maintain, update and improve the Celine retail handbook to ensure operational standards are continuously improved and aligned across the region
  • Manage ad-hoc, weekly and monthly reports in a timely and accurate manner
  • Prepare stores commission and incentive payout for payroll processing in timely and accurate manner
  • In depth usage of retail systems including but not limited to POS & rostering systems
  • Oversee store timesheets, ensuring optimal management of manpower needs; quarterly review of staffing

Stock

  • Inbound coordination liaison with logistics, including discrepancy reporting to Celine s.a./gxo (including non-merchandise)
  • Manage the order & inventory of non-merchandise materials (e.g. packaging, store necessities, uniforms, etc) to ensure timely replenishment & optimum usage
  • Coordinate and prepare stocks transfers and reverse logistics (including pro forma, documentation and courier booking organisation)
  • Validate invoices relating to store and merchandise/freight
  • Manage and control store inventory levels, shrinkage and stock-accuracy keep in loop for weekly cycle count & bi-annual stock-takes with the stores and supply chain department, ensuring all discrepancies are well-managed
  • Allocate appropriate uniform quantities to store staff on a timely basis and manage all write-off when needed (e.g. issued uniforms, clothing allowance, etc)
  • Maintain the clarity and cleanliness of office’s storage room

KEYS FOR SUCCESS

Education: business school, university or equivalent, in business or retail management

Experience: significant background in all-round retail industry, 5-7 years experience in roles including retail management & operations and retail management.

Skills & personal attributes:
